Our studies take place remotely, using online video chat on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Most sessions take about an hour.

Product research is different from clinical research. Rather than testing for clinical outcomes, we are looking for insights on how people experience our product. Product research is used to collect user feedback on Neurotrack products, like our app. It may also be used to collect thoughts on topics related to general health and well-being, like your exercise routine or eating habits.
We are looking for people who are 45 years old and older.
Yes. We are always looking for online participation. Neurotrack product research does not always require an in-person visit to our office. Currently, we are only holding online sessions.
We cannot guarantee that you will be invited to participate in a study after you sign up. We will determine your eligibility and match you with a study based on your information.
If you are eligible to participate in product research and are matched with a study, a User Experience (UX) Researcher from Neurotrack will send you an email with more details. Keep in mind that this process may take some time, even months. For example, you may not be matched with a current study, but you may be matched with a future study in a few months.
A typical product research study at Neurotrack may look like one of the following:
One-on-one interviews. For one-on-one interviews, Neurotrack will invite you to discuss certain topics related to general health and well-being (like your sleeping habits). This type of discussion usually takes place between you and our UX Researcher.
A one-on-one interview can take place either at the Neurotrack office or remotely through online video. It usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Workshops. Workshops are a form of group discussion. These groups discuss topics related to general health and well-being.
Workshops can also take the form of a hands-on design session with some writing and drawing activities. This type of study usually takes place with a group of people, including a number of users and some Neurotrack employees.
Workshops can take place at either the Neurotrack office or at a business location, and usually take about 2 to 4 hours. Snacks and beverages are usually provided.
Currently, we are not holding any workshop sessions.
Concept evaluations. For these studies, a UX Researcher at Neurotrack will walk you through a design concept or ask you to interact with a product demonstration (like a clickable website). Then, the researcher will ask for your feedback on your experience.
This type of study usually takes place between you, the UX Researcher, and other team members (like Product Designers) from Neurotrack. The UX Researcher is often the main person you will interact with during a study. The other members usually observe the session and might ask you questions at the end.
A concept evaluation study can either be in-person or remote on online video. It usually takes about 45 to 90 minutes.
Experience sampling. For this type of study, you are usually asked to participate for a period of time, like 2 weeks, and answer a few questions per day. For example, a UX Researcher may send you a product concept animation to view and ask you some related questions in the morning. Then on the same day, the UX Researcher may send you a question to answer in the evening.
Experience sampling usually takes place online through chat messages or emails between you and the UX Researcher. It does not require in-person meetings. You can expect to spend 10 to 15 minutes each day answering questions during the study period.
Contextual product evaluations. A contextual product evaluation usually takes a longer time, like a few weeks or months. You will be expected to use a Neurotrack product (like a smartphone app) and participate in a number of research activities during the study time.
You can explore and interact with the product in any way you want during the study period. The research activities could include a one-on-one interview in the middle of the study period, a survey to fill out at the end of the study, or other forms of study mentioned in this page.
A contextual product evaluation usually takes place remotely and does not require in-person presence. A UX Researcher from Neurotrack will communicate with you and follow up throughout the study via emails, video chats, or instant chat messages.
Field study. For this type of study, one or more Neurotrack researchers will visit your natural setting (like your home or your office) and ask you questions there. The researcher(s) also takes notes on your natural settings, such as the arrangement of items in your kitchen.
Currently, we are not holding field studies for product research.
Online self-report studies. For this type of study, you’ll usually be asked to complete an online questionnaire on your personal computer, tablet, or smartphone using WIFI. It does not require an in-person visit to the Neurotrack office or a business location. It usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour to fill out the questionnaire.
SurveyMonkey is an online survey tool that makes it easy for us to collect your initial information. The staff at SurveyMonkey will not see your answers. You should not receive any communication from SurveyMonkey after you complete the survey. It is for Neurotrack product research purposes only.
